We discovered our first chesterfield sofa in a London flea market over 30 years ago, and although it was suffering from neglect and a touch of mould, we could see the potential in its beautiful curves and contours. So, under the watchful eye of a master upholsterer, (who happened to work next door) it was stripped down revealing its hidden secrets and lovingly rebuilt, restoring it to its former glory. Half the fun was hunting down the bits and pieces needed to bring it back to life and discovering phrases like crest roll, ripping tool, first stuffing, second stuffing and overstuffing! Ever since we have had a fascination and passion for all things Chesterfield.

Based in the traditional heartland of furniture making, our workshops have some of the finest furnituremakers and upholsters in the country and they love what they do.
