Also known as Manchester cloth and corded velveteen, corduroy fabric has always been considered a timeless classic but is probably best known as an icon of the Seventies – and it's back in a big way. Our Funky Cord is a superb, ribbed corduroy fabric with a wonderful softness that has a velvet-like appearance and cosy feel. Being 100% polyester, it is extremely hard wearing and durable, it holds its shape well and does not easily get stretched or go baggy – no saggy cushions here. Despite its strength, it is very soft and tactile and when one of our chesterfields wears Funky Cord, they go together like bellbottoms and platforms.
